Mina is our “milk truck” doe – she freshened last
summer with triplet doelings and had an udder that fed all three little
ones plus gave us more milk than any of our other milkers.
This should not have been a big
surprise to us – Mina’s pedigree is stacked with great milkers (her
maternal grand-dam is Jurassic 2*D with 92.9 HES score!) and her udder is
wonderful (great attachments, nice texture, and good teat angle). Her
sire Tsaber is racking up the wins (5 X GCH, 2
x Sr. Grand AOP, 2 x BOB AOP) and those winning traits shine in Mina: wide
in the rear, great topline, and fantastic dairy skin.
Mina has the body to bring out
that mammary potential with a wide escutcheon and really well-sprung
ribs. She is a nicely proportioned doe with above-average capacity…
exactly the kind of doe you build a herd around (Thanks, Stacy!). We
retained two of her doelings and one (Callisto)
is our best 2007 doeling.
