Cody is our first buck – our foundation – our herd sire
– and we are so lucky to have found him (thanks, Lynn!). Cody’s dam is
Gay-Mor's Lucky Novel Wish 3*D who twice won Best Udder in Show. Looking
at that, you can be pretty sure that he is going to bring some fabulous
udder characteristics to his offspring. His maternal grandparents are
Luck of the Draw+*S and Jurassic 2*D – these characteristics run deep on
this side.
This is matched by his sire – Gideon – whose
dam had “the highest rear
attachment and extension I have ever seen on a Nigerian Dwarf goat”
(according to his breeder). He is a great looking buck with a great topline and well-set legs.
Cody shows off his parentage very well with an excellent topline,
leg set and he throws daughters with wonderful udders. When Harvey Considine
judged this guy, he gave him very good to excellent in all aspects of his
conformation (scored higher than his sire and right below his dam). He
won third place at the Nationals (as a junior buck) at only 4 months old!
